Aunt Nellie's Liquid Starch


Label from a plastic bottle from the 1960s.  
After forty-odd years under the seal of a metal cap, the product's viscosity had, uh... changed.  
Let's just say this bottle's pearly blue contents were a lumpy, gelatinous mess.
NOTE: Said mess was left to congeal in open air (atop a pile of rocks in the flea market parking lot).

Colorful ads that accompanied the Sunday Comics of the 1940s. These pages advertised everything from toys, toothpaste and foot powder to cigarettes and cereal.
